@Steve – yes I am using the ‘plus’ sign but as I am replying via my iPhone it won’t display the ‘plus’.

OK when you say “6427″ is that exactly how you’re entering the numbers? You need a + in front. If you’ve just put 6427xxxx then that is not correct way of entering the number and hence your phone is not linking the call to the contact record. You need to save as either 0271234567 or +64271234567. 64271234567 means nothing.

@steve, I tried a reboot straight after the install then proceeded to change all numbers (had them saved as 027 & 6427). Still no joy so then changed all numbers from 027 to 6427 then rebooted only to receive a call yesterday from a saved contact to display as 027….. I to don’t understand how my phone is the only one to be affected, so have reverted to saving numbers in both formats again.

@benh – Ben I've tried this again just to make sure I'm not going mad. I have my wife's number stored in my phone in the 027xxxx format only. When she calls, texts or MMS me the name displays correctly in each instance. I then deleted her number and re-entered it in the +6427xxxx format and again the name displays correctly for voice, text and MMS. I'm really not sure why you're having issues but don't be so blunt as to just claim 'nah hasn't been fixed'. It has. Check that you have your numbers saved correctly, try a reboot, try deleting your contact and re-entering. You're the only person we've heard of here that is having issues!

@benh I'm confused by your comment… are you saying that caller ID isn't fixed on your iPhone? Because it is on everyone else's…..?

Steve – nah hasn’t been fixed. I had one number setup as 027 & 6427, after I updated I erased the 6427 number and it went back to displaying 6427

in the settings?

I just updated to 3.1. I am on XT and I read about tethering not working before I did it which doesn’t worry me. I am stoked with the caller ID fix.

The only problem (all be it a big one) is after updating my iphone wont connect with 3G. It works fine on wifi but when I am out and about it wont download on 3G. Has anyone else got this problem?

Just changed some of the problem numbers and it hasn’t worked e.g 027 displays 6427. I have to admit I was surprised that this had been ‘fixed’.
