JB Hi-Fi now selling iPhone

JB Hi-Fi... iPhone re-seller

JB Hi-Fi... iPhone re-seller

According to a tip off from one of our readers in Hamilton, JB Hi-Fi are now an authorised re-seller of the iPhone. They are selling the iPhone on behalf of Vodafone as per MagnumMac/DSE. [note: please don't go to their website as it has been hacked and contains malicious software]

JB Hi-Fi are now an official re-seller for the iPhone. Handset subsidies are between $50-$100 cheaper than what Vodafone/DSE are doing and also include a $20, $50, $70 or $100 iTunes card, depending on the plan chosen. iPhone can only be bought on Voda’s standard plans and cannot be purchased outright.

The information isn’t currently on their website and as it is the weekend we are unable to confirm with the store, fortunately our sharp-eyed reader managed to get the shot below.

Normally we would link to their website but unfortunately it contains malicious software so we don’t recommend going there.

It’s a shame they’re not sold outright. Maybe you can trick them into it like MagnumMac or DSE.

When i was looking to purchase my iPhone i visited DSE, Magnum Mac and another provider who's name has slipped my mind. All of them were asking me to sign some kind of a disclaimer that i was advised of the vodaphone services etc. Besides the all the providers i have mentioned were selling it for a lot more than what apple was selling on their website. So I ordered one on Friday and on Monday it was delivered. So if you have a credit card, access to the internet i'd say order it from apple online. Unless off course there are some XMas deals on the iphone Apple which is seldom.

They are now available from Harvey Norman, no questions asked and the same price as Vodaphone $1179 for a 3GS 16gb, $30 dearer than Apple and a lot cheaper than some are trying to blag second hand phones out on Trade Me.

I went there yesterday from a Mac and just now from a PC and seems is fine.

  7. There is another reseller about also – digimonster.co.nz
I would say that their product is parallel imported, they seem to be committed to doing things well however – from the contact I have had with them on other matters :)
