Steve, thanks for your reply. Yes it is a shame..on such an expensive and media rich phone. I was hoping there was a way of doing so (without the dreaded jailbreaking -which is for the birds) as I txt a lot…but need something attention grabbing to make sure I dont miss them. I will have to settle for the somewhat jovial 'horn' then.

@knottsav – I’m not aware of any ability to add new SMS tones which is a pity as I’m with you on that one – the only one that I like is Glass. It’s great that Apple have added ringtones to the iPhone iTunes Store as of OS 3.1 though.

Is it possible to change the SMS tones? The few that are offered are not really my cup of tea. I have managed to add some custom ringtones, but really would like to add more for the txts.
