3.0.1 is go!
Apple have released an iPhone update this morning - 3.0.1. The update is a very minor one which does nothing more than patch an SMS vulnerabity highlighted yesterday. Do not confuse this with 3.1 which is still in beta – tethering for XT remains unaffected by updating to this release so go ahead and download it. Remember to hit ‘Update’ rather than ‘Restore’ to save you the task of having to re-apply our carrier bundle.

Yes, the update went very smoothly without a hitch. I wish they had packed in the NZ CallerID (SMS/Phone) number fix as well though.
