    HI there

Having a little problem loading the .ipcc file on. I have undated my itunes and iphone. I am holding down the option button but it just says itunes up to date. How else can i get the file onto the iphone. Can you drag etc??? Im pretty average with comps. When i drag it a warning comes up saying, cannot move file to iphone as it does not play this, or something along those lines. So how do you come up with the option to open the ipcc onto the phone. i have read the instructions many times and just cannot get my head around it.

    Thanks

@henry111 – What OS are you using (OSX, XP, Vista or Win7)?

  4. henry111 says:

    HI

I can do all the fix it ok. Its just when i plug my iphone in, the symbol and iphone comes up at the side but does not have any info come up in the middle. When i click on the iphone the up to date thing and specs do not come up in the middle. instead it say. Unknown error, cannot connect to itunes error 9807.

Therefor the only check update button i can click is by going itunes- check for updates, which i know is not the right one. I have read blogs saying its something to do with the key chain etc. i have run a keychain first aid to no avail.

    thanks

Thanks to user "Roger" we can confirm the bundle works in Europe with no issues.

  6. nz.craig says:

I have installed the bundle but am still having problems sending mms. I'm running v3.01 with iTunes 9.0.1.

MMS is turned on and I can attach a photo but it will not send.

    These are my MMS settings….

    APN wap.telecom.co.nz

    MMSC https://lsmmc.xtra.co.nz
    MMS Proxy 210.55.11.73:8080

    MMS Max Message Size 614400

    Any ideas????

  7. bush1e says:

@nz.craig – You could go to telecom and ask them to reset the mms settings on your sim card. This is what I did and then mms worked fine, sending and receiving.

  8. Daniel Burgess says:

@nz.craig – Both SMS and MMS support text messaging. If Show Subject Field is enabled in Settings > Messages > MMS > Show Subject Field, you can only send messages after you have typed content in the Body field. Until then, the Send button will be grayed out, and you will be unable to send the message. If you add text to the Subject and Body field you will automatically send via MMS. If you wish to send via SMS, not MMS, either type text in the Body field only, or disable the Show Subject Field option. The following illustrates this relationship:

Subject Field only – Will not send

    Body Field only – SMS

Subject Field and Body Field – MMS

Can you check the "Show subject field" setting is switched to off and try again

  9. nz.craig says:

@Dan – Thanks Dan – I can confirm that "Show subject field" is off.

  11. eviltori says:

OK same thing with being unable to MMS however I seem to have the solution.

I went to telecom and the very helpful lady there didn't know about resetting the SIM card, however she adjusted my setting (were the same as nz.craig has listed above), to the following.

    Settings>> General >> Network >> Cellular Data

    APN: internet.telecom.co.nz

    Username blank

    password blank

    MMS

    APN: internet.telecom.co.nz

    Username blank

    password blank

    MMSC http://lsmmsc.xtra.co.nz
    MMS Proxy 210.55.11.73.8080

    MMS message size 614499

How she described it is it seems she only had to put in the internet.telecom.co.nz bit and the rest loaded automatically. At least this way you have all the settings. Have now confirmed this works to vodafone and telecom phones.

    Enjoy

@eviltori – Cheers mate. I reset my settings and then entered the APN you list above and, as you say, all the other details simply defaulted. However, I still have had no luck. I've rebooted and still nothing.

    Aaarghhhh! I give up!

OMG, it worked – I was just about to confirm this post and it worked!! Must have taken a minute or two to update some settings somewhere or other.

    Thanks for your help.

    @ahmad
I had purchased my iPhone directly from the Apple website. In order to get it to work I found this forum and downloaded the carrier bundle and got everything to work except for the “Tworld” feature. I have tried the Telecom store and they them-self along with the help desk were hopeless. But I managed to find the below forum on GeekZone and tried it and it works perfectly fine. So go ahead and try it.

NOTE: This will only work when your iPhone is connected to the Telecom 3G network and NOT via WiFi. This is a FREE service that is provided on Telecom branded handsets.
But for non-branded phones I am told it will eat in to your data plan.

    @Steve
Thank you for that. I would like to know if the “Telecom NZ Services” button in the iPhone can it be changed to something like “Telecom TWorld” it would be of great help or would that be too much to ask.
With regards to using the “Telecom NZ Services” button will it eat into my data for the month or is if FREE as provided by telecom. Please advise?

  16. Steve Lawrence says:

@alopes – Hi alopes — glad to hear you're enjoying your iPhone with our carrier bundle, but I'm not sure why you needed the above link to access TWorld — our carrier bundle actually includes a bookmark for TWorld and Your Telecom and puts them in Safari for you. It also creates a link to Your Telecom via settings –> phone –> Telecom NZ Services.

  17. Steve Lawrence says:

Data used by visiting TWorld or Your Telecom on your iPhone is charged at the normal data rates (unfortunately).

    hi Stacey

sounds as if you are doing what I was doing. You need to open itunes and then synced your iphone. On the left hand side click the line that has come up with the name of your iphone under “devices”.
Under “Version” you will see “update”. While holding down the shift key click update and the magic box will appear. try that. C.
