@ Steve: LED doesn't seem to make much a difference in outside readability from what I've read of the Zune HD. But without a NZ bookstore on the device I guess it doesn't matter too much anyways.

@ Dan: I don't think that any LCD IPS based technology will be able to hand the glare of direct sunlight, which is where I love to read. The glass on the front of it looks glossy like the iPhone which becomes difficult to use in direct sunlight and impossible to read texts for long periods of time on.

@ moviemichael: The video clip about the iPad at apple.com says the display is LED backlit. Not sure if that would make a difference?

FYI the Apple website states the Wifi + 3g model does have A-GPS

The main thing to remember is that the iPhone sucked ass when it first came out, then the web apps sucked too. It was only once native apps were developed for it that it really came into its own, I believe this will be the case with the iPad as well.

I bet with jailbreaking you would be able to use it to make phone calls, there will no doubt be accessory cameras for skype that will be better quality than any built in camera.

There is also a few accessories not shown in the keynote on the apple website such as adaptors for USB and SD card which could open up a multitude of possibilities such as shooting a tethered digital camera straight onto your iPad which is uploading them to mobileme or similar service.

I will be buying on, just not sure which size yet ;-p

Yeah I have to agree, it doesn't have as many decent features as the iPhone, for goodness sake!

Meanwhile, I just saw this on YouTube! Some bloke made a fake commercial for an apple product he made up…. – the iPad, which is much better designed and all that than the one Apple released yesterday…. the funny thing is, this guy made the video 3 years ago!! Hm, I'm not so sure how I feel about this. The keyboard dock is nice. Truth is without an eInk screen I'm not that interested in reading books on it.

I would have definitely got one on day one if it had a built in Camera at least… as it is, I’ll pass and wait for the models that will come later.. I was glad I waited for the iPhone 3Gs but if I were filthy rich and could afford all models that come out then I would buy it coz i love my gadgets

Wish they’d add a camera in those remaining 2-3 months before release!!
