Apple confirms January 27th Event. Showing off their latest creation.

January 27th

As you may have read on TUAW, Engadget, or Gizmodo this morning, Apple has confirmed January 27th as the date for their much rumoured event.

With the sub-title “Come see our latest creation” and the invite being splattered with paint there is a lot of speculation around what this means. Personally I think it means come and see our new product and the paint was just an accident and someone got fired for making a complete mess of those shiney new invites. Whatever it means you can bet we are more than likely to see the tablet, and new iPhone OS, maybe even a new iPhone will be announced.

It’s all going down in the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, and will get underway at 10AM on 27th Pacific US time, which is Thursday 28th at 7am NZ time. As we won’t be there we won’t be live blogging it, but rest assured we will be on board from 7am monitoring whats happening and reporting on anything that’ll affect us iPhone users.

Tell us what you reckon is going to be announced, from a new OS and its features to any new hardware.

I would imagine any iPhone hardware announcements would be saved for WWDC, but who knows. No doubt we’ll see something about the tablet and probably the modified version of iPhone OS it’s allegedly running.

Just watched the presentation of the iPad by Steve Jobs of Apple. It is just a humongous iphone with the capabilities of an iMac but no Phone call capabilities. I’d hate for it to fall and suffer the consequences. For now no thanks, i’m happy with my iPhone & my iMac as separate units.
