Sad Kiwis
In case there was any doubt (and we know some of you have been thinking otherwise) it would seem (according to the Apple websites) that the iPad will definitely not be landing on our shores at the same time as our counterparts over the ditch.
In an article on stuff they have said:
Apple has begun accepting iPad apps for review and approval before the device launches in the US on April 3, several weeks ahead of Australia, which gets the device “late April”. (New Zealand should get the device at about the same time, but this is yet to be officially confirmed).
But a look to the Apple sites for New Zealand and Australia show two different images, the one for Australia shows “Coming late April”, whereas the New Zealand one does not. It is unlike Apple to a; make a mistake like this if it were coming at the same time and b; not to announce New Zealand as a country (after all they did with the iPhone).
