Game On!
Game Center – I’d get used to hearing those 2 words as this is undoubtedly one of the biggest new features of the Apple iOS operating system. We have seen snippets of Game Center floating in the 4.0 BETA’s and a few other places but now it looks like Apple have flicked the switch and we are almost good to go. Carry on reading for the Game Center update.
Just a few short hours ago Apple reset their Game Center server, what does this mean? Well, If you are a developer or you have already managed to get iOS 4.1 installed on your iDevice you may have already have Game Center all set up and ready to go, as I did. Unfortunately Game Center was still in testing mode and as of this morning Apple have reset the Game Center server ready for this weeks public release of iOS 4.1. This means you will need to re-add all those people you had ready in your friends list waiting to play.
The unmistakeable trumpet tone and pop up will tell you that you have a new Game Center friend request.

Currently there are no Game Center compatible games but no doubt as of this week onwards they will start trickling in. Hitting the “Find Game Center Games” screen in the App currently takes you to an Apple Game Center web page and we are presuming that once this is all up and running this screen will take you to the App store for compatible Game Center games.

The possibilities really are endless for Game Center and not just for your high end Epic Citadel games. Something as simple as a game of Scrabble suddenly got a lot more interesting.
Pretty much everybody with an iOS device, gamer or not, will be a Game Center user so you will never have a problem finding someone to have a game with.

I am a little bit confused about apples couple hour release of the UK release date last week. Was it just human error on the webmasters? Or were they just trying to get rumours going around? Here is hoping today.

The iPhone 4 prox sensor issue is getting on my nerves a wee bit, waiting for this update for the fix rather than this……..although it is a bonus I sure hope this mobile phone can finally operate its basic function with out this major bug.

According the difference between NZ and USA time the update should come at 7pm to 9pm tonight!!!!!!!!!!

its 10:29pm in California and 5:29pm in NZ. So i think there are only 1 hour and 30mins more or maybe few more to go. don’t you think?

yeah i updated mi iPhone 4 at 5:19 this morning. The game center problem is there are no games available to play as we have to wait until the developers release updates for their game in order to play it in game center.
