iOS 4 Available Now!
Go get it folks! iOS 4 is available now from an iTunes 9.2 near you.
If you haven’t got it already then go download iTunes 9.2 and run a manual backup (right click on your iPhone/iPod touch in iTunes, hit backup). You may also want to manually back up any images if you plan on doing a restore (which we recommend).
Don’t forget our bundles don’t work with iOS 4 but you can manually set the settings by visiting this link from your iPhone or check our manual setting page here.
Just installed it? Hit up the comments and let us know what you think!
Oh and here are the direct links if anyone wants them:
- 2G iPod touch
- 3G iPod touch
- iPhone 3G
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4 (although not sure it’s needed just yet)
If you need any help on how to update checkout the screen shot below from the Apple site.

Gudday all.
I am one of the old school users who has an iPhone 3G, and wanted to provide some feedback.
iOS4 is a great update and provides functionality which works well including:
• Unified mailbox.
• Folders.
• Places in photos.
• Spell check.
• Playlists on iPod.
• Apps open and close faster.
However, and there is always one, but in my case a few. I understand I am using an older phone and hardware but the iOS4 and iPhone 3G is way slower to open mail, calendar and navigate settings etc.
In particular:
• Calender goes completely blank when opening and then refreshes after a while to show the days appointments.
• Mail goes blank at times and then refreshes after a while to show mail items.
• Safari will sometimes stop, and no user interaction will make the screen move, resize or change until I wait for 5 or more seconds.
I do enjoy the iPhone but am I being pushed to a fancy new iPhone….probably.
