Great work Mak..your tweets are restricted so cant see what you asked but assume it was asking if Vodafone have Micro Sims. Anyone know if they will supply Sim only packs…to allow an imported Ipad to be used on the Vodafone Network by inserting appropriate sim

The iPad is not restricted by Carrier, it is only restricted by the Micro SIM. The iPad will be globally unlocked and Apple have stated this.

If your mobile provider can supply you with a Micro SIM then you will be able to use it on their network.

We have asked all three major providers if they will be introducing Micro SIM’s and they have all declined to comment.

Not even sure if its needed but once the 3G model is released in NZ..I assume with Vodafone…will it be easy to create an XT Carrier Pack like you have for the Iphone. Guess we dont need voicemail fixed but the APN’s and Logo would be great. Do you see any issues with creating one or see a reason why it would/wouldnt be a good idea? Guess its a wait and see but cant bare the thought of having this awesome product crippled by Vodafones lack of nationwide 850/2100mhz coverage

I wasn't very happy about the delay at first but then thought about it a little more….

- By not getting it at launch any original bugs will 'hopefully' be sorted.

- The iPhone sucked at launch due to lack of content (apps), so the ipad should be a bit more feature filled by the time we get it.

- Hopefully some smart Asian cookies have developed a 3rd part micro sim adaptor for the iPhone by the time we get it so people buying the 3g version don't have to pay for two data constacts.

Those are the things I'm reminding myself of to stop me being upset that I have to live with my MacBook for another weee while.
