The next iPhone?
Believe it or not, what appears to be the next iPhone (expected to be launched June / July) has been obtained by tech blog Gizmodo, who are convinced that this is the real deal. According to their article, the phone was found in a bar disguised as an iPhone 3GS in a specially-crafted case and is recognised as an iPhone when connected to iTunes and XCode, sports a front-facing camera (yay!), a bigger camera lens and flash, and a glass (or ceramic) back.
It is also completely flat with no curved back and seems to echo the design of the iMac / MacBook Pro. At this point, we’re pretty convinced but hit ‘read more’ for the link and be sure to tell us what you reckon in the comments.
[EDIT: If you weren't convinced this was the real deal, perhaps this letter from Apple which Gizmodo received today asking for the return of their lost iPhone will do the trick!]

I looks genuine. Not so sure it's an improvement cosmetically, I quite like the roundedness of the current model. Pity they couldn't get it running.

Traditionally around June/July.

Would it be unlike apple to remove the front facing camera? Would they ‘lose’ a prototype? Would they hide it in a 3GS case? Are apple not the greatest marketing company in the world right now? Hope its all true, can’t hardly wait. iPad first though!

I have used mobile phones by different manufacturers and used to think that the Nokia range was the best. But was sadly mistaken once i bought my first iPhone. Now that i have a iPhone i would never buy any other phone. I dont know how Apple does it they on top of the mobile phone game. To come up with a product that is not that cheap but is wanted by almost everyone in the world. With regards to the NEW iPhone that is expected mid this year it looks quiet cool.

Haha, loving looking back at old posts on here. Well done Dan + Steve and the rest of the team, in only a matter of months you have gone from getting no comments on posts, to having up to 400 on anyone post. Amazing. Seems a long time ago since we were pondering over Gizmodo’s ‘find’! Haha.
