Anyone else that pre-registered with Vodafone just received an email titled “All you need to know about Vodafone’s Micro SIM for Apple”? If so you may not have read all of it and may have missed something interesting at the bottom and whilst not a firm date at least we have better timeline.
Unfortunately it is again more announcements of announcements, but this is the first time we’ve had any real timeframe of the announcement (damn this is hard work).
Oh, and the email also contains some stuff about the Micro SIM and what you need to do.

Dont know if anyone else picked up the part where they will give you a FREE micro sim if you resign or sign up to an on-account plan. That to me means that they’re gonna charge you for it if you don’t sign up to another contract. Lousy buggers (if that’s true).

1. This is NZ not the USA. Apple does not care about the NZ consumer. Demand will be strong but there is no reason/incentive for a pre-order.
2. iPhone 3G, 3GS, both Friday release in NZ.
Then again, I could be completely wrong come 5am.

i know that all oorders are shipped from a AUS wearhouse.
i hope they do offer pre order, as i dont look forward to having to stand in line for it,

Who cares what Vodafone has to say about the iPhone. F*** Vodafone, Rememer what they did to us with the release of the 3G? Apple store is the only place I’m getting my new iPhone from. If Apple was happy with the job that vodafone was doing they wouldn’t have started selling directly.

I don't want a plan… I want to buy the iPhone 4 and stay on Prepay as plans don't suit me one bit… unless they come up with plans that are reasonably priced and have at least 3gb mobile data…
I think my 32 gb white iPhone will be no more than NZ$1300.

Given Voda's current form I suspect we will get this:
- Apple announce dates Saturday
- Voda announce they have something "big" to announce Tuesday but dont tell us what
- Apple start taking Pre-Orders Wednesday/Thursday
- Voda send an exclusive "breaking news email" 7pm Friday that tells us that the Iphone dates have been announced and we heard it here first folks "stay tuned for more"

Well once the announcement happens we'll put up an announcement announcing the announcement of the announcement. Unless of course it is announced in the next announcement, in which case we'll do a post.
