WTF?!
With the launch of the iPhone 4, Apple have dramatically decreased the price of the iPhone 3GS 32GB. So much in fact that it costs $50 more to get a 16GB model!
Below are the price comparisons from before the change and after the change. Spot the difference?
We are all quite stuck by this, we don’t know quite what to make of it. Is it intentional? Is it a bug?
Whatever the reason, there is an incredibly cheap iPhone 3GS 32GB waiting for you at the Apple New Zealand store (http://store.apple.com/nz). If it’s a bug you are still entitled to the phone at that price, so if you want to be in for the cheap price now is your chance!
Thanks to iPhonewzealand reader B Gallagher for pointing this out.

You can’t sell it with Apps and games on it. As soon as someone syncs it will erase the content.
I’ll be posting my one here soon enough…. http://www.iphonewzealand.co.nz/forum/iphone-buy-and-sell/

Anyone compared these with the Apple Australia prices? Ive just had a look but can’t tell if they’ve had a price change. They have 3GS 16GB: A799 (~NZ980), 32GB: A879 (~NZ1080). It does appear that these prices are also to buy outright (I cant remember being able to buy outright last time I checked Apple Aus – is this new?)

Definitely for the last 6 months iPhones in Australia have been unlocked/outright from Apple’s online store (and physical stores) I know from when I was looking at buying one (by didn’t due to the home country warranty clause). So definitely not new.

Anyone want to buy my 16 GB 3gs? It's still got the original boxing and no scratches whatsoever and comes with a nice protective cover, even the screen has protection. Had it since Nov 09
. Wonder how much I can get for it!… It's packed with Apps and games…
