Top app publishers slash prices for Thanksgiving, discounts extend to NZ Store

We may not celebrate Thanksgiving here in New Zealand, but we’re being invited to join in with the festivities. No, I’m not talking about cold turkey sandwiches but hot, juicy apps from publishers such as EA and Gameloft with prices slashed all the way to practically free. Keep reading for our round-up of the top pickings.

EA have slashed a number of titles down to $1.29 and these include:

• Reckless Racing (iPhone / iPad)
• Tetris
• Scrabble
• Madden NFL ’11
• Command & Conquer Red Alert
• The Game of Life
• Risk
• The Sims 3
• The Simpsons Arcade
• Trivial Pursuit

Sharing the same tempting price-point of $1.29 is the Gameloft catalogue including:

• Brothers in Arms
• Uno
• Asphalt 5
• Iron Man 2
• Hero of Sparta II
• The Settlers
• Shrek Kart (iPhone / iPad)
• Let’s Golf 2 (iPhone / iPad)

Some of the other highlights also cut down to $1.29 from various publishers include:

• Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2
• Aqua Moto Racing 2

The end dates of these promos are not clear – some publishers state and an end date (for example, Gameloft’s sale is on until Sunday), but others (like EA) don’t say. Moral of the story: don’t hang about! Enjoy!
