    @ JimmyJ:
I got there about 11:10 am this morning and there were about 6 people waiting to purchase an iPhone 4 ahead of me. We were only allowed to enter store in a group of 4, from 11:45ish. There were about 15~20 people lining up at that time. Each of us were assigned to each vodafone representatives and the process was fairly quick & simple, took me less than 15 minutes to take the phone out of the store. It was about 12:15pm when I got out of the store, and the queue was extended to about 30~40 people. Check out on my twitter for photos. @hyong_seo

    @ Hermes,

That’s very tight ! You must be feeling pretty lucky to secure one ?

Did any of the MagnumMac stores sell iPhone 4 today? I have been told by JB HiFi Auckland Queen Street this morning that they might be getting their shipment (independent of Vodafone NZ) early next week and took down contact details for those interested when it arrives.

If that early termination fee is $450 +GST, maybe you'd have to pay $40 for the first month as well (even if you're only on contract for a day)?

I just bought iPhone 4 32Gb from Sylvia Park. I can confirm you that iPhone 4 32Gb outright price is NZ $1279.00. It says so on my receipt

How did you buy one outright? I thought they were only selling to new term contracts or re-signs?

    I was just wondering…

If you signed up for say a 32GB iPhone 4 on the 130 plan. You get the iPhone for $499. It also say that their isn’t a fee for changing your plan from a 130 plan to a 80 plan. Do you think they’d try to charge you the $200 in difference from the subsidized 130 to the 80, if you changed your plan one month in on your contract?

  13. Yaman_NZ says:

I am not sure about switching plans, but I think early termination fees will definitely add up to at least a little bit more than the full price of the handset with no contract. Say you get a 32 GB for 799 on a iPhone 40 contract… that’s 799 plus 40 for the month, plus then $450 early termination fee… you do the maths :-)
