We’re starting to get reports from people whose iPhone 4 orders had 20th August as the ‘ships’ date are now showing a status of ‘Prepared for Shipment’. According to the Apple website, that means that “your items have already been prepared for shipment and cannot be changed online or by our customer service department.” I just checked my own and sure enough, it would seem there’s a little iPhone 4 with my name on it sat somewhere ready to be dispatched. Very exciting! Let us know in the comments how your order is looking.

Same as yours – I’m really hoping they are shipped from Oz and not China

Guys, I hate to be a killjoy, but that “AUS” no doubt means the POWER PLUG adaptor included, not the destination
Think about it, its no good if we get sent a “US” iPhone kit, with a US plug, right? We use Australia’s system, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AS_3112 , and so the country code relates to that.
Sorry to burst any bubbles, I dont know where the items will be sent from, perhaps we will get NZ iPhones from Australia’s distribution channels, perhaps the worldwide shortages have meant that “a thousand” iPhone 4′s will be sent on by sea to NZ direct, I dont know. I think it would personally make sense to send large numbers to major areas, Australia for example, where they would then filter out in medium-smaller numbers to the more…minor…heheh nations.
The wait has been so irritating, just to have been told what was happening would have been GREAT for me, I honestly took the day off for “launch”…I stayed up until 2AM online…after ringing all the local shops in Invercargill, politely asking for an iPhone to be sent here for me. Instead…NOTHING HAPPENS…and then this massive delay…
Again, if this is the worst thing to happen in our lives, be damn well thankful! I cant wait till we all get our iPhone 4′s, I feel like I’ve met so many people through these comments, we are all in it together, fighting the evil VodaFAIL
Wont be long soon guys, just try and forget about it

@ mrs_kiwi:
We can always hope, but its best to plan for the WORST with this “New Zealand Launch”
I think its highly unlikely we will get “our” iPhone 4′s in less than a few days, I’m still expecting the state ship time, maybe next Friday, not this weeks Friday
Wont be long now!

Dang it… Mine hasn’t got that… Its probably because I changed my shipping address this morning as I am going to be away from my normal address when it arrives. grr. I hope it isn’t late.

Mine is also “prepared for shipment”…. nice.

Guess I’ll just have to be a little bit more patient. Mine still indicates the 23 rd as my shipment date. I had a change of heart after ordering the 26 gig on the Friday and the cancelled the order saturday but couldn’t reorder the 32 gig until apple had taken the hold off the funds. That turned out to be monday. But as I’m away down in Wellington next week it’s all academic anyway -if it is any earlier than the estimated 27 th delivery date, it can sit at work and wait for me. There are the odd advantages to working at your local post shop!

Mine’s prepped for shipment too. Has anyone seen the episode of Southpark where Cartman buries himself in a snowdrift because he cant wait three weeks for the Nintendo Wii…?

Yup. Mine is ‘prepared for shipment’ too. My last MacBook Pro shipped from China on a Friday and arrived in NZ on Monday … so … *hopefully* we’ll get our handsets early next week. Fingers crossed …

I'm guessing the -AUS on the end of the product name means they'll be shipped from AUStralia. Which means overnight delivery from Sydney.

me too. prepared for shipping. my order says shipped from AUS so hopefully that means it will be here mid next-week. Too bad i go away tomorrow and am away for a week. How are the iphones delivered… is it courier and do you have to sign. I have a horrible vision of my new iphone sitting on my doorstep for a week. not good!

Me too.
So if they're prepared today, shipped tomorrow, we get them Friday?
My model number is slightly different from your pic, is that because mine is 32gb? My model no is MC605X/A whereas your pic shows MC603X/A.
