At the time this article was published the Apple Online store price wasn’t know. Last year, the Vodafone prices were $30 more than the Apple prices across-the-board, hence me making that comment. You’ll see though under ‘update 2′ (which was there when you made your comment) that I had pretty much ruled out that it would $30 less via Apple – however I couldn’t have known at the time that it would actually be $20 more.

No doubt Vodafone will need time to announce the announcement of more MicroSIMs arriving, but not actually arriving until the following week. Then they will send an email three weeks after you already have 1!!

Time to sand off the back of your sim with a sandpaper to make your on-time purchase worthwhile? Head to your local hardware store or a Warehouse now before it closes. That sim won't be needed anymore once you get your microsim.

Help! Vodafone didnt sell me a microsim. I just cut it up and it doesnt fit. Too thick. New MicorSim stock arriving Tuesday. What do I do? My iPhone 4 is a brick.

So it seems like VF were grumpy about the Apple set RRPs and with VF close to loosing money if they sell as out-right. My guess is VF are still not happy but will do mainly on account stuff and leave Out-right purchases to Apple online store (and MagMac etc others once more stock is flowing). VF might even charge for MicroSims if you come in with an iPhone4 got from elsewhere.

My two cents – Apple would probably want to update all of the apple stores at once… Midnight in Canada, Pacific Time being the latest time zone in Canada (I think), is 7pm NZ time… 7pm therefore seems a pretty good guess…

it wouldnt surprise me if it is going to be something 3 weeks+. I hope its not however, would be nice to have it within the next few weeks, just depends how much stock apple kept back for online, if any

Yea, I’m going for apple online tonight as well

I was infront of VFstore in Queens st and I had about 12people infront of me at the time.

then out of blue, sales from VFshop came out and announce “we only have about 9 left in our store, sorry guys If you want to know the next arrival please leave your deatils…..”

I felt so dipressed, but hey its not the end of day. I will just purchase it online and wait for 3 weeks lol (like uk)

Well we can definitely confirm it’s “this evening” — Apple’s NZ comms person emailed us to confirm. 7pm is apparently the time that a lot of Apple CSRs have been giving people but can’t qualify it with proof. Sounds about right though.
