   I would take that link with a grain of salt. I am in Wellington and the first place listed is Cyclone Computers in Johnsonville who told me that they will not have iPad 2 in until about 3 months from now.

   Great list appreciate it.

   I wonder if we will experience a similar issue here that happened in USA. People were being paid to queue and would buy 2 iPads at a time and they were being shipped to Asia! Haha…. I wouldn’t be surprised.

   Well here in Christchurch, I wouldn’t bother again. I queued at Dick Smith’s Riccarton – with its staff (even at 5.00 pm and after) refusing to indicate what stock they had or didn’t have. Finally, after a cold chilly wait in the queue, was escorted to the counter simply to be told they were only taking forward orders. That what little stock they had, was sold. Hey, how about treating people like adults. A colleague has had exactly the same experience at Noel Leeming’s tonight with staff refusing to even indicate what stock might or might not be available for people still in the queue. Wouldn’t it be a simple courtesy to come down a line and say, “We have this, but we don’t have that…”. Maybe Apple thinks treating customers like idiots is a bit of laugh. Well, I guess that when we stand in a cold nor’easterly and allow that to happen – we are. Idiots, that is.

    Just got home from buying a black 32gb WiFi iPad from Noel Leeming in Newmarket. It looked like they had about 50 units and they were selling out as I left. Yay, its nice to have a successful Apple product launch.

    I was the 3rd or 4th (not sure the guys in the first are 1st or 2nd). Anyway, couldn’t get two as originally planned, but managed to place order last night, so once got 64GB WiFi+3G Black for my partner, I cancelled that and Digital AV adapter and will wait for my White one in 2-3 weeks time.

    I was 7th in line at Dick Smith Rotherham St. I joined the queue at 3:30pm. I managed to get the 64gig 3G model (black) that I was after.

    Well it was great to see a few of you out and about today. I ended up in Noel Leeming Riccarton. 5th in the queue so managed to get my 64GB 3G Black beauty. I also picked up a blue poly Smart Cover (which will be given away over the next few days). Gotta say I am loving the iPad 2. I’ll be doing a full review, unboxing, pics etc etc over the next few days as well so I may go quiet for a bit. Enjoy your new toys all those that managed to pick one up and Thanks for joining in the community here.

    I was first in the Que at Noelleeing in Hastings.Only got my self a black 16 gb wifi as they didnt have and white 16gb models and they only got 25 in stock.

    Is there anywhere in Christchurch where iPads are out of stock but on display so you can try them? Anywhere with a display like magnum mac had or similar?

    What a shambles by Apple once again. It was iPhone 4 launch all over… at least this time I new what to expect. Apple PR department will be pleased to announce that all iPad 2′s were sold out in NZ within an hour… while neglecting the fact that there were probably only about 1000 of them in the whole country.

    That said, the staff at Yoobee in Hamilton were excellent letting those of us in line know that they only had 30 in stock and continually updating us as to which models/colours remained.

    @nathstar, although I imagine that Apple PR will focus on their Apple Stores, where of course there were big queues and big stocks. At least we got some into the country I guess.
    The real problem is that we don’t have an Apple Store in the country
