So here we are everyone… the eve of the iPad 2 launch. There are going to be a few places to buy the new ‘uber gadget‘ on Friday. We went through the pain of being out all night at MagnumMac for the botched iPhone 4 launch and won’t be making that mistake again, however just so you know… we will be at Dick Smiths on Rotheram Street in Christchurch. But where will you be and what will you be getting? Let us know below and why not send us a picture of the queues and excitement from your local store. Oh by the way, I’ve heard from a very reliable source that due to shipping issues, the iPad 2 won’t be going on sale until 5pm Saturday now. So no need for anyone to line up anywhere tomorrow. Especially at 5pm.

I’m gonna order one online, then (maybe) pop down to Harvey Norman’s on Moorhouse Ave – just because it’s closer to where I live & (as all Christchurch people know) trying to get around our city at the moment is a complete ****ing nightmare.

I have been told by a VERY reliable source close to the heart of all this that the Online orders will come with a 2-3 week delivery time frame (as opposed to 4-5 weeks). This will just be the initial orders and no doubt move out to 4-5 weeks quickly
