iPad 2 live re-blog is here
Well here we are… the eve of Apple’s latest and greatest event. Unfortunately we are unable to be there, however we will be live re-blogging the event as it happens from Engadget, TUAW and Gizmodo. We know there is going to be a new iPad, what it will include and what else they may announce (The iCloud, free MobileMe?) is anyone’s guess but tune in to this post at 7am NZDT 3/3/11 to find out.

I am not sure I understood or maybe I did but cant see why, but they said “3G will be 0 extra on all models”. Does that mean no price rise or the Wifi only version will be exact same price as Wifi + 3G? If its the same price then why would anyone buy the Wifi only one as you get nothing extra for that same price and even if you dont need 3G…might as well have it included for free (plus you get GPS and Cellular)
Dont worry…it was a misprint on the live blogging..it was meant to say $130 extra..not 0 extra. Just checked the US store and they have they prices. So no price increase but there is a difference in prices between the two versions

The new features look great (especially the 1080p out for all apps), I was really hoping for a new display of some kind (love the iPhone4 Retina)… I’m just not sure I can really justify a purchase for this version… I’ll probably put it off a few months until I cave in.. ha.

Hi Guys do you think the new WiFi hotspot feature for the iPhone 4, will work for all NZ mobile operators? We use Telstra here at work (who uses the Vodafone network) and we can’t tether via USB because of that. I was just wondering if anyone using the Beta has tried the hotsport feature with a Telstra SIM?
I currently have a jailbroken iPhone 4 with MyWi. If the new hotspot feature works, then there’s no reason for me to jailbreak anymore.

Yup, it’s on my list, already have some money put away and it’s a choice between selling my iPad and topping up or buying an iPad 2 and giving my girlfriend my iPad to ease the blow of spending $1400.00, so will be a wait for the 3G models, so I’m in no hurry, but will be buying, Garage Band and iMovie first up. I see it didn’t have anything about lessons on Garage Band, will have to do some more research.
