Good savings
Look — we’re not about to recommend that anyone go out and buy a current-generation iPad right now with the much-speculated iPad 2 just around the corner, but if you’ve been thinking of buying an iPad, are happy with the current feature-set and don’t care that the new, camera-toting models are most likely just a few months away, then the online Apple Store might have the deal you’ve been holding out for. Keep reading for the details.
The online Apple Store always has a selection of clearance and refurbished Macs and iPods, but for the first time (that we’ve noticed, anyway) refurbished iPads are up for grabs. Apple refurbished stock is immaculately presented in as-new condition, and with the full 12-month warranty you would get with a brand new model, so they’re often a great way to save a good amount of money on Apple gear that is usually indeterminable from new.
At time of going to press, the Store has 16, 32 and 64GB WiFi models priced at $699, $849 and $998 respectively (normally $814, $998 and $1,174), and 16 and 32GB flavours of the 3G variety priced at $956 and $1140 as opposed to their normal RRP of $1,021 and $1,205.
Interestingly, the WiFi-only models are highlighted as ‘Special Limited Time Price’ offers, but the 3G ones are not. Regardless of this, refurbished stock doesn’t usually sit around for long so if you’re in the market for a current-gen iPad I would recommend that this is the deal for you.
