A strong New Zealand dollar has seen the new iPad price drop almost 10% across the board. The entry-level 16GB wi-fi only model iPad 3 price is $729 – a full $70 cheaper than the iPad 2 it replaces.
The new iPad goes on sale in New Zealand this Friday 23-March online and at Apple retailers around the country. We’ll have a post up in the next few days with the best places to buy and all your options.
New iPad NZ Prices: New iPad (iPad 3) prices on the left and iPad 2 on the right
Will the lower price make you more likely to get an iPad 3 or get a higher spec’d model?

Hey, just wanna know where you get that source..cause i cant find the “select a new ipad”. Thanks

This time is the first time I am not getting the new I device of the day . For me the iPad. 2 screen is great . And I have had a play on the new iPad the screen was nice but its not enough of a reason for an upgrade for me . Roll on iPhone 5 and iPad 4 with some big updates

Evidently JB will be stocking the iPad, most stores are opening at 8am. Stores will be receiving between 30 and 200 units (dependant on the store and its size/popularity).
The embargo for sales is 12:01am and Im expecting some stores (none from JB that I’m aware of) will do midnight launches.

I’m feeling lonely at JB HiFi in Albany. Come on down for the 8am opening. Also walked past YooBee Albany on the way, they have 20 or so in queue. Both stores opening at 8am.
