The NZ Music app for iPhone and iPad is something that I have only recently discovered. It was first released last year and was developed by The Hyperfactory.
This app is a great way for New Zealand music fans to keep up to date with all of the news from the local industry and follow their favourite artists. There are hundreds of artists involved, the app keeps the public informed and gives the artists some further promotion. The effects that this app has for New Zealand music are undoubtedly positive.
The app allows you to see all of the upcoming concerts and events in your local area, as well as New Zealand wide. For example if I go into the app I can see the upcoming events
in Dunedin and I can add them to my calender on my iPhone or iPad.
With this app, New Zealand music lovers will never miss a gig from
their favourite artist or group.
The app also has a news section which supplies the user with relevant stories and information about Kiwi artists nationally and internationally. The app houses links to preview and purchase music from itunes and the ability to stream music videos on your device.
For those of you who enjoy local music and events I would, recommend this app.
