Someone Stolen Your Mac, iPhone, iPad or iPod? Here’s an Option

Undercover 5 for Apple products

With Mac computers, iPhones, iPads and iPods being very highly sought after, there is a handful of people that would do anything to get their hands on one. In light of this I have found a very cool product to help you get your stolen Apple property back.

Orbicule has a product called Undercover 5 which gives you everything possible to get your stolen device back.

Once installed on your Mac, every time the application is opened the exact location of the device is stored. You can log into your on-line account and open the application remotely to do this. You can view all of its previous locations as well as its current location.

Once activated for a Mac you can see screen shots, photos taken and everything that the thief has typed on your computer. Undercover makes it easy for you to lodge a police report with your local office by compiling all of the locations, screen shots and key log files together.

This kind of software is similar to the find my iphone/ipad technology but gives you a lot more weapons against your theif. Michael Grothaus wrote on his blog that

“Apple’s Find My device feature pales compared to Orbicule’s Undercover 5″

If all of that does not work, Undercover 5 has a very clever plan B. This causes the computer to ‘fail’ and hopefully forces the theif to take it in to get fixed. Then you can display a message on the screen informing the repairer that ‘this computer is stolen’.

Undercover 5 is also available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod on the app store for $6.49
