when I downloaded the 2 Degrees bundle and moved the bat. file and put it in with the itunes file it was green, wheen I looked for the fix bundle under iphome configuration it doesn’t show at all. What am I doing wrong? Have I not extrated it properly?

Hi Candice – are you using Mac or PC? And which version of Windows / OSX are you using? Have you followed the instructions in the PDF?

Hi, I'm using Vista on pc and have followed the PDF instuctions. When first installing the file it gives the options to only skip or cancel parts of the bundle.

I've downloaded the bundle and followed the instructions, but nothing changes. Still shows VodaNZ as the carrier. No error messages. Using Snow Leopard 10.6.1, ITunes 9.02 and iPhone 3.1.2

Can you check in "Settings>>General>>Network>>Cellular Data Network", has the apn details changed to 2Degrees details or do they show Voda details?
Also where are you in the country? If you are in an area that doesn't have 2Degrees towers then you will be using the Vodafone and towers and therefore the Vodafone logo will display.

I was just going to update the post but you beat me to it. I'm in Waipukurau, Central Hawkes Bay so probably no towers. Cellular data is showing internet – wi-fi connection currently?. I was going to say that it would appear the settings have taken as the MMS info is all 2degrees related. Many thanks for the quick reply.
I'm guessing that all is ok and as soon as I see 2degree towers the log will change automatically?

General > Settings > Network > Cellular Data Network
Do you have 2degrees information for the APN and MMS (sorry if you have already checked this, just confirming).
It is noteworthy that 2degrees only have towers in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown. Anywhere else and you won't see the 2degrees logo. Everywhere that those towers don't reach will be VodaNZ country. I have not tried this myself but I presume that the logo will indeed change as you are handed over to the other towers.
Edit: Actually just thinking back a few months, when I put my 2degrees SIM card in my iPhone, the carrier did read VodaNZ, as opposed to the 2degrees text — so yes, you will only see the 2degrees name (or the logo if using Carrier Bundle) when using 2degrees towers.

'internet' is the correct APN for 2degrees. So the aforementioned applies.
