Going to buy a iphone 4s soon. Thinking about buying from a telecom or vodafone physical store as receiving it in the mail is not an option via the online apple store.
Now, for me to get it working with 2degrees will I need a new sim? I have heard its different, a micro sim is what they need?
I currently have a huawei which uses the normal sized sim.(gunna be a big improvement)
Once I get a correct sized sim card from 2degrees will the iphone 4s work straight away as I am worried that telecom or vodafone will have some special settings inside the iphone to stop it working with a 2degrees sim. Or is that no possible for them to do..
Any tips and advice will be greatly appreciated.
Jim

Hi Jim,
Walked in to the Telecom Airport Store & bought a 64Gb iPhone 4s outright. Proceeded home swapped my 2Degrees Micro Sim in & restored it through iTunes with a backup that I had made the night before. Everything worked fine, took about an hour to set it up. No problems at all, Cheers.

Hi Pjkiwi,
Thanks,
Can I ask what " restored it through iTunes" means ?

Hi Jim, as I had a iPhone 4 & was using it, I did a backup through iTunes prior to using & setting up the New iPhone 4s. Once I had the new phone at home I selected through iTunes a Previous Backup so all my previous Apps & Data was copied to the new phone. You end up with a phone with all your previous Apps & settings on it. I hope this helps, Cheers, Paul.

Okay, now that makes sense. Thought it was special two degrees settings or changes you need to make.
I am coming over to iphone 4s from an andriod.
So setup for me will be just inserting the sim card?

Yeah, just turn it on and follow the instructions – it's pretty straightforward. It will help if you have the latest version of iTunes loaded up with any music/apps/vids you want to sync across.
