Just downloaded the Comsume app for iPhone and set it up for my Telecom Broadband and Telecom prepaid, however the latter proved slightly more difficult as Telecom NZ were 'unable to help'. So here is how to setup the Consume app (which is great by the way) for prepaid Telecom mobiles.

First Navigate to this website on your iPhone:

http://nz.m.yahoo.com/w/ygo-fr…..lang=en-nz

The scroll down and under 'TWorld' click on 'Your Telecom'

Click on the 'Your Telecom' link

Next if you don't have a 'Your Telecom' signup by clicking 'Send me a password'

Click on 'Send me a Password'

Next type in your cell number, and a password will be sent to you.

Then use this password to login, and straight away you should change your password from the temp one before it expired (their password systems are very dodgy this send me a password/forgotten your password step may need to be repeated!).

After successfully logging in switch over to 'Consume' and enter your details!

Here's what my telecom data looks like. They keep adding the ability to track more information progressively so keep an eye out.

Here's a list of the services Consume tracks at the moment…

Looks like a great app. I keep getting an error, "Unable to fetch usage", with both my mobile and home broadband. Am using iPhone 4 running 4.0.2

Really would like to get this working!Confused

This is usually due to a password problem. For home broadband the password is the one you use to check your usage at telecom.co.nz/usage and the password for the mobile is the one used at the address above, if you continue to have problems i'd say give telecom a call!

i have this app and im using telstraclear as my isp. for some reason it isnt showing my useage? its coming up with used 0mb. its strange becasue i log into my online profile for telstraclear and it has 2 useagemeters. 1 for bb and 1 for mobile (special deal where u get a free mobile at the mo) and i think it is trying to pick up that useage instead of the BB one. anyone got any ideas how to get it to pick up the other one?

There's no way for you to change the way the app works, however because it works on 'recipies' the app devs can push updates to the way all that works over the air. I'd say get in touch with them!

I can't get Telecom postpaid (phone or mobile data) to work.  How do I get a password for my mobile number?  The Your Telecom links under TWorld do not respond.

Good app – but does NOT work for Telecom XT Mobile Postpaid, or mobile data.  The password you use on YourTelecom simply does not work.  Has this even been tested?

Worked INSTANTLY with my XT Prepaid account..

Can't seem to get it working with my Telecom home broadband account.. Any suggestions? I do have the password correct and can access my account info through the Telecom website

Seems like a very well made app

Edit: Have tried both 'username' and 'username'@xtra.co.nz

I've never been able to get any of the Telecom mobile services working on Consume — Prepaid or postpaid. My home Broadband account works fine.  Such a shame because it looks like a great app and works very well for my OneCard and FlyBuys.

Up until a few weeks ago I found this app to be great, but it's inexplicably stopped working for my Telecom landline a few weeks ago. Frustrating because it was a really handy way of monitoring my broadband usage.

Has anybody gotten Consume to reliably work with Telecom XT prepaid?

Am having fits over it!
