Hi. I'd like to watch Flash videos on my iPad and iPhone 4. It appears that the app (http://www.skyfire.com/) be the best solution. My primary use case is to watch videos from Stuff.co.nz. Has anyone actually downloaded Skyfire (now at version 2.2.0)? Does it work? Does it work with popular NZ sites like stuff.co.nz? Has anyone else found a non-jailbreak way of running Flash on iPads/iPhones? Either a hack or an app. NB I know that there is a stuff.co.nz app but it has way less videos than the site itself. Cheers!

I have found the app to be very hit and miss (mostly miss) for NZ vids. TVNZ on demand wont let you view any as it thinks you are outside NZ, TV3 only shows a 15 second "advertisement" that I assume appears before all shows but then it doesnt progress to the show. Stuff I have got to play some videos, some of the time but its not 100%.
The app relies on some background decoding I believe so unless they have "decoded" it on their servers, then it wont play. This means very few NZ sites have been through the process as they targeted US sites first.
I dont know the in's and out's but know that it doesn't work very well..or hasnt for me anyway

I have just found a new app called iswifter (for ipad only) and it works much better than skyfire. You still get the issue of TVNZ and TV3 thinking you are overseas but Stuff, and all other sites I tried with flash, worked amazingly.
Its free but then in app purchase asks you to pay $2.99 (i think) which goes to japan earthquake appeal to stop the timer coming up. I think its worth the $2.99
Now all we need is a NZ developer to create this app so we can use it for TVNZ/TV3
