Hi guys, i have Apple TV gen.2 and have had 4.4 update for a while, finally decided to upgrade last night after putting off the fact for a while, and it all installed fine. With this update (which naively didnt research first) reset all the passwords/wifi/language etc.
Fine apart from the fact the kids lost the original Apple Remote a while back, but didnt matter as i have the phone app, and have taught it to learn my Denon remote. Neith of these will now work, and can't get pased the language set up screen. I dont mind going down and getting a new one $30 or so, but would prefer not to have to. Any one else have any fresh ideas …. Cheers.

Right, bought a new remote $30 – from YOOBEE in Britomart. Nice little store, shame i didnt have enough time to linger. New remote (of course) worked fine, re-taught it my Receiver remote, and re-entered all my homesharing data to get all our Remote apps up and running again. Shiny metal remote has now been put away (from the kids) for the next time its required!!
