My wife and I got ourselves an iPhone 4s each for Xmas :) on Telecom monthly data plans.
Great phones and we are enjoying learning our way around them.
One aspect that is annoying me is that some of my contacts names display when a message or call is received, and some don't. Why is this and how can I set the phone to show the names for all contacts when they phone or message me? These are all contacts that previously showed on my old Nokia.
(We're old folk so you'll have to speak slowly and clearly lol)

Hi – sounds like a similar problem to another forum poster – it sounds like the phone is requiring a different format of number to the one you have in your contacts – if you scroll to the top of a message thread with no name showing and tap on 'Add Contact' then add it to an existing contact and choose the correct person for that message thread, then it 'should' add the right format of number to that persons contact details and then recognise the number in the future…. good luck.
