Hi , i have updated this morning to latest firmware 4.2.1 and i have discovered that i no longer have facetime on my contacts. It is there under settings but it does not show when i select a contact. Ia anyone else having the same issue or is there a way to fix this. Thanks

Have you been to settings – Phone – and ensured Facetime is switched to on? Also if you are on XT check that all your network settings are still correct in – Settings – General – Network – Cellular data network.

That is the problem i am having, no matter what i do it wont work it just keep saying "waiting for activation". This was after doing several resets.

I am having the same problem. Apple no help….vodafone say that there are no problems with the sms activation.Under facetime it just says 'waiting to activate…" I have restored, rebooted etc. Can anyone help??

OK Guy's long shot here but try this to kick FaceTime in.
FaceTime works with URL's so, open up your stock note pad app. Compose a FaceTime URL note with the number or email you want to call in it
FT URL for a number should look like this FaceTime://+64xxxxxxxxx
FT URL for an email address FaceTime://joebloggs@me.com
Once you have saved the note it will become a FaceTime active URL, tap on it and hope for the best. Initiating a FaceTime call has been known to get it going before but as I say it's a long shot!
