any technical expertise would be appreciated. I am currently running iOS 5 beta 1 software, and all was going along swimmingly until just now when i was on a phone call and it dropped out, the screen then went back to the start up screen that appears just after you have downloaded the beta (setup screen) asking you to select wifi network, icloud, enter apple id etc.
I did all that and it seemed to get back to normal without losing anything. Made another call which was fine. Then a few minutes later it went back to that start up screen, asking me to select a wifi network, except now it won't let me select the 'next' button in the top right to proceed.
I guess my question is can i continue with this beta? or do i need to upgrade and if so how? Also is it possible to downgrade to the last version of 4.3.x?
Cheers

I've had the exact same problem today, except with beta 2.
As far as I can tell you can't downgrade, the only solution is to upgrade to the newest beta, I would recommend beta 4 if you can download it.
Bummer right? I've lost a whole bunch of note from my iPad as far as I can tell. If anyone knows how to get them back I'd be much appreciated.

The beta's expire a short while after the next one gets released. The expiration date for iOS 5 beta 1 is August 4, 2011. You will need to update to the latest beta (beta 4 at the time of writing this). To do that you will need to go to the developer pages and download it. If you are not a member of the developer program and you have installed iOS 5 beta by getting someone to register your UDID then you will need to find a copy of beta 4 and make sure you still have your UDID registered.

You can download all iOS5 beta's to iOS4.3.5. Simply open iTunes and hold shift before clicking "restore", then point iTunes at the 4.3.5 firmware.
It will even restore earlier basebands (so if you downgrade straight to 4.3.3 you can jailbreak iPad2)
