Most of the betas have all been Saturday mornings and about 2 weeks apart. Athough B7 was a bit early on a Thursday. So we are a few days overdue. I hope they fix the SMS Contact name bug real soon as it is bugging me.
from what ive seen people on Vodafone have had no problems with B7 At all but other carriers there are heaps of probs

In B7 they removed the option to set your APN so if you clean install you cannot use 2° or XT. Curiously if you're on VF then the option to set APN is there, so you can set it to the 2° then swap SIM for example.
If it's a bug it's a convenient one. If it's to lock the phone and iPad's to supported carriers there will be a MASSIVE free trade and use scandal.
Homebuilt High Performance Desktop – Windows 7 Professional (x64) & (Backup) Ubuntu 11.04 (x64)
HTC Trophy 7: WP7 – 2°
iPad2: iOS 5.0B – 2°
I did a clean install on my Brother Gf's iphone with Beta 7 and shes on XT and there was no option to change the apn settings but data and mms all worked fine

So apparently there is a conference on October 5th. Probably means your getting iOS5 in 2 weeks.
You got lucky it auto configured then ^^

Blair, are you sure it is working? E.g. I reinstalled mine once and thought it was all working with data etc. but it was only because it was getting data from WIFI instead. As soon as I went out of range I suddenly remembered that I hadn't set the APN.
Chris, that's great news, so we've probably had the last beta and the GM will probably be out real soon getting it to developers before the official release on conference day :-)
