I recently bought a iPhone 4s and set it up in the store. It was working fine until after the first night when I woke up and saw that the phone needed to be plugged into iTunes. I plugged it into the wall instead to charge it. I thought is was just a dead battery. That worked and the phone was working again until the end of the second night. No the phone is stuck in what appears to be recovery mode. So I plugged it into iTunes and it said I had to restore. So I clicked the restore button. iTunes then said that I needed to update the iOS to 5.0.1. So I downloaded it. After downloading, it tried to restore the phone but then I got an unknown error (36) and it won't restore. It extracts the software, communicates with Apple, all that stuff but when it gets to preparing the phone for restoration, the Apple icon appears and the status bar appears on the phone but the whole process stops there. iTunes returns with the unknown error. Any help would be great for I am without a phone now for 2 days.
