NZ Quakes takes the latest earthquake data from GeoNet and displays all

detected quakes in New Zealand over the last couple of days in a list where you can get various

details on each quake, including magnitude, depth, felt reports, and position on a

map. You can use the settings button to filter out smaller or deeper quakes if you want to concentrate on more quakes more liekly to have been felt. Red dots on the map show where people have felt the quake.

 

New Zealand has over 15,000 earthquakes every year, most of which are

small and often unnoticed. You may be surprised at how many there are.

 

NZ Quakes is a free app for ipod touch, iphone, and ipad.
