An application which indicated which cell tower you were currently connected to would be quite handy and interesting. Even more useful in a country like ours would be for the app to give us a direction to to cell tower so we can stand at the correct side of the building or hill to maximize reception. Maybe it could also include some tips on how to hold the phone too…

If anyone is rushing to make this app, relax, someone read my mind and it's available thru layar.
Jonathan Hall has written a layer with all the NZ cell locations, just load it up and you are away. The only thing is it can't tell you which cellsite you are currently connected to.
Idea for you ipnz writers, do an article on layar and the nz layers available, like zenbu, nz celltowers, etc
