just an idea really. pitch it to paknsave or whatever

tab 1: shopping list

-simple 2 tier item list like: produce>apples or canned food>salmon

-list validates with server, narrowing down to specific products, best sellers, on special etc

-list finalised, estimated total is generated

-optional:pay online? and send list to store to have list pre-packed for additional $$$

tab 2: floor map

-select store location eg. new world manukau, new world greenlane

-floor map of store is downloaded to app, showing item locations and fastest route around the store (based on your item list)

-optional: supply real-time info about estimated queue times? or busy, moderate, quiet

i think this is one of those things that will never be picked up, because the supermarket companies want you to wander randomly through the store, increasing the chances of impulse buying

kind of like how mobil phased out the pay-at-pump system, because they realised even though it was more efficient, it meant less revenue from the 100% softdrink and chocolate markups inside the store
