I am planning to buy a GPS app. Given the price and the reviews, I almose decided to go with Sygic. At 36 NZD and the kind of reviews, it looks like a steal to me.
I am wondering what is the key feature which makes Tomtom priced at 95 NZD?
Cheers,

I can't comment on TomTom as I've never used it but I have used Sygic extensively in NZ (and will be using it in Aussie over Xmas!) and have never had any trouble with it.
I notice today that they've released an update (nearly 700MB mind!) to make it iCloud and iOS5 friendly which is great :)
EDIT: Just done the update and it does bring to light one annoying feature about it. After they release an update (which is quite frequently as it happens!) you have to redownload the in-app purchases (the 3D cities and the city guides) which is another 135MB….
Anyhoo… best of luck with your decision!

Features I like about Tom Tom is the Car Kit which has a built in GPS which works alot faster than the built in Iphone and punches through clouds.
Application is intuitive works with Yellow Pages and intelligent routing so you dont get told to turn right over a concrete barrier or median strip.
Traffic updates are good as well indicating where delays are and now long.
Another application you could get is Waze which is free, just not as accurate as tom tom.

I have TomTom apps NZ, Aust and USA. I found it great when I used it in all three countries this year and well worth the price. The car bracket volume is not all that load for bluetooth hands free for the iPhone.
