Wouldn't it be cool to be able to use the iPhone or iPod touch as your own personal buzzer when you play buzz? I know it's not the brightest or most innovative or functional idea for an app, but I imagine it would sell very well!

It definitely would be cool, but the only way I see it happening is by Sony making the app themselves and, even then, I don't think the iPhone SDK would allow it due to the very limited Bluetooth functionality built into the iPhone OS.

Unsure how the device would communicate with the PS2/3.
The PS3 uses Bluetooth (I think) to communicate with wireless controllers/accessories

I believe Sony will have to be involved in this App in some way if it were to ever become a reality, but I believe it's pretty possible as the ps3 uses Bluetooth to connect to the wireless controllers, headset, keyboard or any other Bluetooth device.
