- What protocol are you using (pop, imap, exchange) - What error(s) do you get - Do you have a working cellular data connection (or WiFi when sending the e-mail) - What is a "work clear account"?

Hi Mak
thanks for your reply.
pop3.clear.net.nz incoming and smtp.clear.net.nz outgoing.
i can email work colleagues with the same end of address eg —–@ebbett.co.nz but unable to send
to any other address.
the error says: Cannot Send Mail: the sender rejected one of the reciients address's. The message has been placed in you outbox.
Hope this helps!
Cheer Steve

Ehh, I'm stumped, sorry. Perhaps someone else may have an idea.
As long as you're sure everything is entered properly..

I had a similar problem which was resolved by entering my ClearNet mail username and password for the outgoing SMTP server. Even though on Clear it shouldn't be required, it did the trick for me.
Let me know if it works.

I think it may be that ClearNet requires authentication for outgoing emails if you are connecting to their SMTP server via a non-Clear Internet connection. I haven't bothered testing, but that's my theory.
