I just bought a XT sim card and cut it down to size and when I turned on the IPAD it says NO SIM. Why is that happening? Did I cut it wrong or what? Or is there suppose to be a special XT sim card to cut down? Mine was $29.95. Could you please help me. Do we need to get another sim card?

You may well have cut it wrong. I assume you saw the guides here?
It does unfortunately mean you will have to get a new one, you could try and see if you can use the "my SIM isn't working" excuse (without telling them you cut it up) and see if they will arrange a new one for free. But there is no guarantee they will and you my well have to pay for a new one.

I used the guide it's exactly cut right but the copper pc board touched the side of the holder. Yours didn't touch the side but ours do. What type did you buy? Are there different types? We just asked for one, they gave us a phone no.

I have a v2 xt sim and need to cut it down but using the template download I reckon i'll cut right through the side of the actual sim chip as the sim chip is positioned right on the edge of the sim card. Not in the centre like the guide.
