Had Telecom XT bundle fitted, working well, on new 3GS Very fast and all great for 2 weeks.
Went to Australia for weekend and lost all service. Telecom knew nothing about phone or settings.
Apple store in Sydney thought my Sim card was faulty but phone was O.K.
So phone was of no use to me at all. Is this something to do with X.T carrier bundle and 3.0.1 update ??

So have you got service now you are back in NZ?
The bundles have been tested in Australia and work fine over there, so I am not sure what caused the problem. Telecom don't support the iPhone as it is not a handset they sell. They will however support your XT SIM and if there is a problem with the settings in the Telecom system then they should be able to sort that out. You don't have some kind of international toll bar?
I assume you still had '3G' switched on in the settings of the iPhone? Because if you switched this off (thinking you didn't want to use 3G whilst overseas) then the XT SIM wouldn't work.

Hi Had 3g setting on. Not sure about it working when I got home as it fell out of my pocket in Taxi to airport and I can't trace it.
So lost without it now. Covered by insurance but have to wait for new one. Didn't have toll bar on either.
