Countdown New Plymouth are doing the same. They dont normally sell the cards so to see this was great. Did you get in on the deal at Warehouse? Reason i ask is because I got in on the deal at Countdown brought them home loaded them and both cards were invalid codes. Believe it or not itunes only have help online and so far it has taken 72 hours for me to send them first email. They then sent a email back wanting a picture of the store receipt and photos of the back and front of both cards. Still waiting to see what they do next just a little annoying that it is taking so long. A little worrying also that they may deem there to be nothing wrong with the cards and it will be to late to take them back to the store and this great little deal turns out to be a very expensive mistake.

I have used the deal at the Warehouse and Dick Smith many times and never had any problems with the codes, I wonder if Countdown activated your cards correctly, after they scan the product barcode they then need to swip them through the efpos strip reader to activate them.

Countdown Mt Eden had the deal in the weekend too. There used to be a window on the Iphonewzealand home page that had updates on these but it doesn't seem to be there any longer.

You're right, we did used to have a box in the sidebar about this but in the end it wasn't possible to keep it going as it was completely manual and relied on one of us spotting a deal or a reader emailing in. One thing I noticed is that quite often whenever one place was discounting itunes cards it seemed like others were too but some advertised the fact and some didn't. I suspect that the specials are run by the company that distributes and activates the cards in NZ and apply to all retailers simultaneously but when we approached them to clarify they never responded.
