This is a FaceTime on the Mac question, but I was wondering if anyone had noticed this on the Preferences menu:

 

'Location:

Choose a country or region to allow FaceTime to dial local numbers in your contact book'

 

I haven't been able to connect to a landline number yet – it says that this number 'is not available for FaceTime' 

So does anyone think Apple is thinking of taking on Skype and allowing calls from PC to a landline?
