My girlfriend and I both have an iPhone and she wants to sync with my iTunes library to share my music.
She wants all her mail, contacts to sync separately however (ie. not merge with mine).
I do not want her back-up files merging with mine. Will syncing on the same MAC merge the back up folders held on the macbook? ie. will there be just one SMS backup folder that each iphones files go to or are two separate ones created?
Do i used multiple accounts on the same computer to get around this?
Probably didn't explain this very well but can any advice on the best way to go about this would be helpful.
Thankyou!

Hi Camo
We have 3 iPhones and 1 iPad using the same computer to sync with and all have their own back up / restore files so you will be fine, it's the different devices that determine the files.
Only 1 of us uses the computer for email and contacts so they are the only ones who have accounts on the computer, (I am assuming) giving your girlfriend her own Account on your Mac would resolve the two of you having your own contacts and email.
I'm also assuming you could create a separate profile without a separate login and in iTunes under the device and then Info you can pick email and contact profiles.
If you are sharing an Apple ID to share music then be aware that if you both use the Apple ID to send and receive via iMessage to anyone then these conversation threads will appear on both devices.
