Great question, I would be interested in knowing as well. I am very keen on reading the book, I was thinking of purchasing it via the Amazon store but the cost of shipping put me off.
Does anyone have any idea when it will be released here, in shops or via online purchase?

It would certainly be ironic if it can't be purchased from the iBooks store globally.
As for a physical book, it'll be far cheaper through Amazon, you can normally have a book at your door for much less than you can buy it off the shelf here.
Shipping does look pricey at $25, but you can ship 4 or 5 books for the sane price. If you found 4 other people who want the book and buy them all at once, it's only $5 per book. That's a bargain.

Woohoo! Bought online for $22.63 NZ (us $16.99 plus some state tax) using my US account at http://www.booksonboard.com...
Just had to apply a little *magic" to the Adobe Digital Editions DRM so I was free to transfer it to my iPad e-Book reader – which is now Bluefire since iOS 5 killed Stanza… Although it's also sitting synced in iBooks now too :)

Well I'm all for supporting your local and all. But when I can import it cheaper (on special, but including $25 US postage) than the local company is doing it "on special" I start feeling like the local is trying to take me for a ride!
