OK so this has nothing to do with the iPhone, but I’m certain you’ll forgive me for the diversion. The NZ Film Archive have just launched a celebration of classic kiwi TV ads from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s which they’ve cleverly called Sellebration, and whaddya know… there’s a locally made ad for the Apple II in the line-up! It’s funny stuff that is sure to strike a chord of nostalgia with anyone who remembers this from its original run, but it’s also kind of sad to see how far we’ve come, and yet how far we are from the likelihood of this ever happening again.
