You know you’re a geek when… you go on holiday to Queenstown and your extreme sport of choice is hunting down jailbroken iPads! Yes, Dan is currently spending some well-earned time down on Lake Wakatipu but, always on duty, he just had to get in touch with iPhonewzealand HQ when he found that the demo unit in the local branch of Dick Smith was jailbroken, bold as brass and brazen as you like! Well folks, here we go….. The iPhone Developer Connection pages are down and as a guess I would say it *may* have something to do with the new SDK that is rumored to hit at the Apple event in the morning…. what do you reckon?

As a note we realise it went down earlier for what seemed like usual maintenance, so it could come back any time seemingly without any changes, but you can bet your bottom dollar something is going on back there.

We’ll be checking this regularly until we fall asleep and then when we wake up for changes.

UPDATE: Looks like it is back. It has been up and down most of the day, we’ll leave this one till the morning but will keep a keen eye for anything new.

Telecom XT down, again.

As if once wasn’t enough, it appears Telecom’s new XT mobile network is experiencing more downtime. Outages have been reported in Wellington, Christchurch, Oamaru and Dunedin.
