Today I decided to go out and get myself the Apple Component Cable (at a whopping $89) so that I could view my movies on my iPad via my TV. My thinking was that I could output rented movies from it and I was hoping as an added bonus that Netflix and ABC player would also output (as it happens they don’t). I could also output slideshows and other videos / podcasts as well.

Here’s the heads up folks… Flicks NZ has gone live this morning. As we said in our preview it is FREE so go grab your copy now. Remember this is version 1.0 that has dropped, version 1.01 which fixes the couple of bugs we found has been submitted so shouldn’t be too far away.
[UPDATE] Version 1.0.1 has hit the AppStore as promised.

We get sent apps for review fairly regularly, some good, some bad and some that have nothing to do with New Zealand AT ALL, however today I received an email from the same team that developed the Yellow App (Smudge Apps) simply saying “Thought you’d like to have a play with the new iPhone app we’ve been working on for NZ…Let me know what you think. We’re pretty happy with it”.
Well instead of just telling them, how about I tell you good folks too….…
